Who we are
This policy covers KAYSTRO Feedback, the feedback service for SeeCapture by KAYSTRO, an independent project by Kevin Mackaay. Contact: [email protected].
Voluntary feedback and data collected
Sending feedback is voluntary. A report contains a report type, subject and feedback text. You may include your name and email address, app version, telescope model, firmware version and technical or app diagnostic information, such as relevant log excerpts. Name, email and diagnostics are optional. We also store a report reference, language, submission time and delivery status. Do not include passwords, access tokens or other sensitive information. The website form accepts one optional PNG, JPG/JPEG, PDF, TXT or LOG attachment, up to 5 MiB. Attachments are sent by email and are not stored in the feedback database; a failed delivery cannot recover the attachment from the database.
How we use your information
We use reports to provide support, reply when you supply an email address, investigate problems and improve SeeCapture. We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising, and do not use feedback or Google API data for targeted advertising.
Storage, service providers and security
Reports and their email payloads are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database and sent to KAYSTRO through Gmail (Google). Cloudflare hosts the website and provides the Turnstile spam check; it may process technical connection and browser information for security and spam prevention. Google processes the feedback email for delivery and storage. Access is limited to handling and maintaining the service, using HTTPS and server-side credentials. Service providers may process data outside your country under their applicable terms and safeguards.
Google OAuth and Gmail
KAYSTRO Feedback uses Google OAuth to authorize the KAYSTRO Gmail account to send feedback messages to [email protected]. Visitors do not need to sign in with Google or grant access to their own Gmail account. The supplied integration sends messages; it does not read visitors’ inboxes or contacts. OAuth credentials and tokens are held on the server. Any information received from Google APIs is used only to operate this feedback email service. KAYSTRO Feedback’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Retention and deletion
We retain reports and related email correspondence only as long as needed for support, investigation and improvement, or applicable legal obligations. The supplied service has no automatic deletion schedule; deletion must be performed by KAYSTRO in both the database and relevant email records. To request access, correction or deletion, email [email protected], preferably with your report reference or the email address used. We may ask for enough information to verify that the request concerns your data. If data must be retained for a legal obligation, we will explain the reason.
Website preferences and download statistics
Your language preference is saved locally in your browser. Installer files are delivered through GitHub, which receives the related download requests. Cloudflare hosts the website and may process technical connection information and logs.
When a download is started through the KAYSTRO website, KAYSTRO records limited download statistics such as the SeeCapture version, download source, country and time. To estimate repeated versus unique downloads without storing the raw IP address in the download statistics database, the client IP address is used only during the request to create a one-way daily identifier. The raw IP address is not stored by KAYSTRO in the download statistics database. Because the identifier changes each UTC calendar day, it is not intended to create a long-term visitor profile. These statistics are used to understand SeeCapture download activity and improve the project. These website functions are separate from the optional feedback you submit.

Vrijwillige feedback en verzamelde gegevens
Feedback versturen is vrijwillig. Een melding bevat een meldingstype, onderwerp en feedbacktekst. Je kunt je naam en e-mailadres, appversie, telescoopmodel, firmwareversie en technische of app-diagnostische gegevens toevoegen, zoals relevante logregels. Naam, e-mail en diagnostiek zijn optioneel. We bewaren ook een meldingsnummer, taal, verzendtijd en bezorgstatus. Stuur geen wachtwoorden, toegangstokens of andere gevoelige informatie mee. Het websiteformulier accepteert één optionele PNG-, JPG/JPEG-, PDF-, TXT- of LOG-bijlage van maximaal 5 MiB. Bijlagen worden per e-mail verstuurd en niet in de feedbackdatabase opgeslagen; bij mislukte bezorging kan de bijlage niet uit de database worden teruggehaald.
Waarvoor wij gegevens gebruiken
We gebruiken meldingen voor ondersteuning, een antwoord als je een e-mailadres opgeeft, onderzoek naar problemen en verbetering van SeeCapture. We verkopen persoonsgegevens niet en delen ze niet voor advertenties. Feedback en Google API-gegevens worden niet gebruikt voor gerichte advertenties.
Opslag, dienstverleners en beveiliging
Meldingen en hun e-mailinhoud worden opgeslagen in een Cloudflare D1-database en via Gmail (Google) naar KAYSTRO gestuurd. Cloudflare verzorgt de hosting en de Turnstile-spamcontrole en kan daarvoor technische verbindings- en browsergegevens verwerken. Google verwerkt de feedbackmail voor bezorging en opslag. Toegang is beperkt tot behandeling en onderhoud van de dienst, met HTTPS en serverzijdige toegangsgegevens. Dienstverleners kunnen gegevens buiten je land verwerken volgens hun toepasselijke voorwaarden en waarborgen.
Google OAuth en Gmail
KAYSTRO Feedback gebruikt Google OAuth om het Gmail-account van KAYSTRO toestemming te geven feedbackberichten naar [email protected] te versturen. Bezoekers hoeven niet met Google in te loggen of toegang tot hun eigen Gmail-account te geven. De aangeleverde koppeling verstuurt berichten en leest geen inboxen of contacten van bezoekers. OAuth-toegangsgegevens en tokens blijven op de server. Gegevens die via Google API’s worden ontvangen, worden uitsluitend gebruikt om deze feedbackmaildienst te laten werken. Het gebruik en de overdracht van via Google API’s ontvangen informatie door KAYSTRO Feedback voldoen aan het Google API Services User Data Policy, inclusief de Limited Use-vereisten.
Bewaren en verwijderen
We bewaren meldingen en bijbehorende e-mailcorrespondentie zolang dat nodig is voor ondersteuning, onderzoek en verbetering of toepasselijke wettelijke verplichtingen. De aangeleverde dienst heeft geen automatisch verwijderingsschema; KAYSTRO moet gegevens zowel in de database als in relevante e-mailrecords verwijderen. Vraag inzage, correctie of verwijdering aan via [email protected], bij voorkeur met je meldingsnummer of het gebruikte e-mailadres. We kunnen aanvullende informatie vragen om te controleren dat het verzoek jouw gegevens betreft. Als gegevens vanwege een wettelijke verplichting bewaard moeten blijven, leggen we de reden uit.
Websitevoorkeuren en downloadstatistieken
Je taalkeuze wordt lokaal in je browser bewaard. Installerbestanden worden via GitHub geleverd; GitHub ontvangt daardoor de bijbehorende downloadaanvragen. Cloudflare host de website en kan technische verbindingsgegevens en logs verwerken.
Wanneer een download via de KAYSTRO-website wordt gestart, registreert KAYSTRO beperkte downloadstatistieken, zoals de SeeCapture-versie, downloadbron, het land en het tijdstip. Om herhaalde en geschat unieke downloads van elkaar te kunnen onderscheiden zonder het ruwe IP-adres in de downloadstatistiekendatabase op te slaan, wordt het IP-adres alleen tijdens de aanvraag gebruikt om een eenrichtings dagelijkse identificatiecode te maken. Het ruwe IP-adres wordt door KAYSTRO niet in de downloadstatistiekendatabase opgeslagen. Omdat deze identificatiecode iedere UTC-kalenderdag verandert, is deze niet bedoeld om een langdurig bezoekersprofiel op te bouwen. Deze statistieken worden gebruikt om de downloadactiviteit van SeeCapture te begrijpen en het project te verbeteren. Deze websitefuncties staan los van de optionele feedback die je verstuurt.
